Clear Confidence Resource Pack

The Clear Confidence resource pack concentrates on issues affecting self-esteem and confidence using role play techniques to aid learning and understanding. The pack includes all the elements required to deliver seven lesson plans which can be used progressively or discretely.

A humorous DVD film, featuring Andy (12) and Caroline (14) throwing their first "proper" party nervously supervised by their mum provides the stimulus for students to undertake a series of written, interactive and role-play tasks.

Through participation in the suggested activities, students are encouraged to reach their own conclusions about a range of topics and benefit from a greater understanding of themselves as they grown and change.

The resource pack has been developed by education and health professionals to support the guidelines set out in UK curricula for PSHCE/PSD at KS3/S1. Some elements of the resource may also prove useful in the teaching of the English, drama and science syllabus. Specific links to the curriculum are identified on the curriculum table.

Lesson plans may be used progressively as set out below or as discrete activities.
